VantageIEP

For Advocates & Attorneys

A structured first-read memorandum before you walk into the room.

Upload an IEP and receive a professional preparation memorandum that helps surface what is in the document, what may be missing, and what does not line up. VantageIEP does not replace your judgment. It gives you back first-read time so you can focus on the work only you can do.

Document review focus

What the memorandum helps surface

1Present levels, goals, services, accommodations, placement, and progress-monitoring details
2Internal consistency between needs, goals, services, and supports
3Missing, vague, or underdeveloped sections that may deserve closer review
4Evaluation, behavior, transition, safety, and implementation issues reflected in the document
5Questions an advocate or attorney may want to consider before a meeting

For typed PDFs, identifying details are removed before your IEP is reviewed. Your IEP is deleted once your report is ready, and is never used for model training.

Sample output

See the memorandum before you try it.

This professional sample is based on a fictional synthetic IEP. It shows the format, depth, and issue-spotting style of a VantageIEP first-read memorandum for advocates and attorneys.

Synthetic demonstration only. No real student, family, school, or district is represented.

IEP First-Read Memorandum

Sample finding excerpt

The IEP documents a phonological-processing weakness and a parent-submitted recommendation for daily structured literacy, but the service grid provides a lower-intensity reading service and does not identify a structured-literacy methodology.

How it reads the IEP

A consistent document-review framework.

Every memorandum works through the same ground (how the IEP describes the student's needs, and how those needs connect across present levels, goals, services, and the rest of the document), so the first read is thorough and repeatable before your judgment takes over.

Internal consistency & implementation detail

Each finding points to the specific section or field of the IEP it comes from, and cites the governing federal provision where relevant. VantageIEP works from the four corners of the IEP: it does not cite or interpret state law or reach legal conclusions, and it flags anything state-specific for your verification.

What the report cannot determine

The document does not tell the whole story. From the IEP alone, VantageIEP cannot know:

  • whether services were actually delivered;
  • whether the progress data is accurate;
  • what happened in prior meetings;
  • how a child performs outside the document; or
  • whether a district has met every applicable legal requirement.

It reviews what the IEP says and surfaces document-level issues and questions for your review. What matters is your call.

Identifying details removed

For typed PDFs, we automatically remove names, dates of birth, and ID numbers before your IEP is reviewed.

Deleted after your report

Your IEP is deleted as soon as your report is ready. We don't keep it.

Never used for model training

Your uploaded IEP is used only to prepare your report and is never used for model training.

Upload your IEP

Supports IEP PDFs. If you also have evaluations, progress reports, or other records, start with the IEP. Typical preparation time: 2 to 3 minutes.

Before you upload: for searchable, text-based PDFs, common identifying details are automatically removed before review. If your PDF is a scan or is image-based, automatic redaction may not be possible and the document is reviewed as uploaded. Your IEP is deleted after your report is generated and is never used to train any model.
