Public beta. Document review only. Not legal advice.

Document review focus

What you will get

1An at-a-glance map of the IEP: goals, services, accommodations, and progress reporting, in plain language
2What looks clear and well connected in the plan
3What deserves a closer look, with each point marked green, yellow, or red by priority
4Prioritized questions you can bring to your next IEP meeting
5What to monitor going forward, and signs it may be worth speaking with an advocate or attorney

For typed PDFs, identifying details are removed before your IEP is reviewed. Your IEP is deleted once your report is ready, and is never used for model training.

Sample output

See a parent walkthrough before you upload.

This sample shows how VantageIEP explains an IEP in plain language and turns the document into practical questions for a parent or guardian. Each finding is marked green, yellow, or red so you can see at a glance what looks clear, what to clarify, and what to prioritize.

Synthetic demonstration only. No real student, family, school, or district is represented.

Parent Walkthrough

Sample question excerpt

“Why does the reading instruction differ from the private evaluation's recommendation of daily, 45-minute, specialist-delivered structured literacy?”

What the walkthrough cannot tell you

The document does not tell the whole story. From the IEP alone, VantageIEP cannot know:

  • whether services were actually delivered;
  • whether the progress data is accurate;
  • what happened in past meetings;
  • how your child does outside the document; or
  • whether the school has met every legal requirement.

It explains what the IEP says and gives you questions to consider, including when something may be worth raising with a professional.
